Setup instructions

  1. Install R version 4.0 or above from cloud.r-project.org.
  2. Download Rao-0.3.3.dmg from this page.
  3. Open Rao-0.3.3.dmg in your Downloads folder and drag the Rao app icon into your Applications folder.
  4. Launch Rao from the Applications folder and click "Open" if prompted.
  5. Locate the AI pane in one of RStudio's four quadrants. If your panes are closed by default, in the top menu bar click View → Panes → Pane Layout and select "AI" in the top right pane.
  6. In the AI pane, click the "Settings" gear on the top left and press "Sign in / Sign up". If that flow fails, choose "Use API key" and copy your key from your account page.
  7. Set your working directory inside Rao.
  8. Click the "+" icon to start a new conversation.
